Role of Islam

Muslims showing the role of Islam in their live

Whenever we talk about the role of Islam in our lives, an incident from the past comes to mind. a person was going to preach Islam, so he came to the Holy Prophet, told him about the mission, and asked for advice. Holy Prophet replied, “try not to use your tongue in favor of your religion.” It shows Islam is the creed of actions, and verbal preaching means nothing. So, let’s discuss the role of Islam in our lives and then promise ourselves that we will become faithful followers of Islam.

1. Deep Relation with Allah

The first thing that comes to mind when we hear the word Muslim is worshipping Allah. As Muslims, we are lucky to be obedient to the Creator. We admit His uniqueness and greatness while praying and reading the Holy Quran. Islam tells us that our life's purpose is to bow our knees in front of Allah. Our Creator is very close to us and wants us to attain His closeness, and all the teachings of our religion are about creating a solid connection with him.

What is the real relationship with Allah?

Being in a proper relationship with God means accepting our weaknesses and limitations. Moreover, seeking his mercy is another name of connection with him.

2. Sacrifice

The beauty of Islam is practicality at every step. One of the most essential parts of Islam is sacrificing our things for the happiness of others. An Eid “Eid Ul Adha” we celebrate every year brings a message of offering our beloved possessions for the pleasure of Allah. Moreover, Islam tells us to sacrifice our time, sleep, and desires to make the Creator happy. Helping others and fulfilling their needs is also part of the offering. Fasting (Roza) also aims to let us feel the pain of poor people who do not have a proper meal.

What is the significance of sacrifice in Islam?

As we know, sacrificing means giving something that is our need too. It may seem challenging to do, but overall it is an excellent deed. It makes you esteemed in the eyes of others and makes God happy.

3. Perseverance

We often face incidents when we work hard to get something but find that unfruitful. Such occurrences make people lose their hearts, but we do not disappoint as Muslims. It is because our belief says that everything happens for our good. Whenever any challenge or misfortune knocks on the doors of the Muslim community, other people listen to us saying, “Al Hamd o Lillah.” It is the natural face of Islam; even we, as worshippers of Allah, forgive our enemies for the sake of Allah.

Our early history of Islam is full of events and people who won other people's hearts with this deed. It would help if you remembered the occasion of the Holy Prophet when a non-Muslim lady used to throw garbage on him regularly from the rooftop. One day the Holy Prophet noticed that the lady was not there to disturb him. The Holy Prophet went to her home and asked whether everything was fine, as she was not at the rooftop. She was impressed by his behavior and became a Muslim. Patience and the positive reaction of the Holy Prophet converted the woman to Islam.

What is the reward of patience in Islam?

If you do not lose hope in tough times and keep believing Allah, the Holy Quran promises a higher rank in Jannah and other great rewards in the hereafter.

4. Rights of Allah and human rights

Among the role of Islam in our lives, rights (Haqooq) have their significance. There are two types of requests: the rights of Allah and human rights. It is essential to be careful in both of them. Now, the point that makes these different from each other. Allah’s rights are to say prayers, recite the Holy Quran, perform Hajj, and many others.

On the other hand, regarding human rights in Islam, they are to take care of others. All the discussion in the above passages is directly connected to Rights. Accepting the uniqueness of God and helping needy people. It is what our religion revolves around.

5. A Comprehensive Life

A comprehensive way of living is Islam. Islam is a way of life, not a religion that is just practiced on holidays or the weekends. Humankind's fundamental wants and aspirations are considered in Islam's spiritual and moral organization. Islam's tenets are taken from the Quran and the verifiable traditions of the Prophet Muhammad, which serve as a rulebook or guide for life. Islam instills in us a concern for the entire individual. It teaches us to consider our physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and it gives us the best direction possible in any situation.

What matters most in Islam?

The thing that matters most in Islam is Shadah (accepting the unity of Allah). Likewise, we must realize that no deed in Islam is valueless.

Conclusion

Whenever we talk about the role of Islam in our lives, the only thing we get as a result is positivity because it is the message of Allah and the Holy Prophet. In other words, accepting the greatness of Allah and the Prophetship of Hazrat Mohammad is the outcome of our religion. Another few essential elements that reveal the role of Islam are good deeds, caring for others, helping people in need, etc. Now, all we need to do is to preach Islam not with verbal words but with our deeds. Our words and acts should relate to each other. So, we must promise to live our lives according to the sayings of Islam
