What is Iman-e-Mufassal?
Iman-e-Mufassal is a detailed declaration of faith that outlines the core beliefs of Islam. It serves as a foundation for a Muslim’s belief system, covering the six pillars of faith (Arkan-ul-Iman). By reciting and understanding Iman-e-Mufassal, one strengthens their faith and gains a deeper connection with Allah.
The Special Supplication
Reciting Iman-e-Mufassal is a profound declaration of faith, affirming a Muslim’s belief in the core principles of Islam. Along with this, making special supplications (duas) strengthens our faith and reinforces our connection with Allah.
In Arabic
اٰمَنْتُ بِاللہِ وَمَلٰئِکَتِہٖ وَ کُتُبِہٖ وَرُسُلِہٖ وَالْیَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ وَالْقَدْرِ خَیْرِہٖ وَشَرِّہٖ مِنَ اللہِ تَعَالٰی وَالْبَعْثِ بَعْدَالْمَوْتِ
In Roman English
“Aamantu Billahi Wa Malaikatihi Wa Kutubihi Wa Rusulihi Wal Yawmul Akhirihi Wal Qadri Khairihi Wa Sharrihi Minallahi Taala Wal Basihi Baadal Mawt.”
Translation
“I believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and the fate (good and bad) from Allah, and in the resurrection after death.”
When to Recite Iman-e-Mufassal?
- During daily prayers as a declaration of faith
- While teaching children the basics of Islam
- As part of morning or evening supplications
- To reaffirm one’s faith and strengthen belief
