Durood E Ibrahimi(Sharif) Translation In English

O Allah, let Your Blessings come upon Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and the family of Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.

Importance Of Durood Sharif

There are many ways to praise Allah, but He particularly loves Durood (Salwat) upon Hazrat Muhammad and his noble family. The most valid proof of this statement is our prayer (Namaz), which is incomplete without it. This is just a glimpse of its importance. There are many more reasons, and some common ones are listed below:

Acceptance of Dua

The Holy Prophet said, “Recite 3 times Salwat before and after dua, I (Mohammad) guarantee its fulfillment” This hadith clarifies the importance of Durood E Ibrahimi while making supplications.

An Emotional Connection With Allah

Reciting Durood Sharif every free time shows how attached you are to the Holy Prophet. Although Allah encourages maximum recitation, ensure that you do it. It will make the Almighty happy, and Allah says, “Indeed, Allah will not abandon those who believe and do righteous work. Allah is with those who are steadfast.

A Specific Change In Status

In Surah Al-Ahzab (33:56), Allah says:

"Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace."

Being Muslims, we firmly believe those who recite Salwat get enormous rewards from Allah, and Hazar Mohmmaad (SAW) says, "Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will send blessings upon him ten times." (Sahih Muslim, 384)

Intercession On The Day Of Judgment

According to Islamic tradition, frequent recitation of Durood Shareef may lead to the Prophet Muhammad interceding for the individual on the Day of Judgment. This gives believers hope and peace.

Conclusion

Durood E Ibrahimi is a powerful supplication that connects Muslims to Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). Besides, it is a great way to express affection, reverence, and appreciation for the Prophet's teachings and guidance. Regular recitation helps us seek Allah's blessings and gain intercession on the Day of Judgment. Furthermore, it strengthens our connection with Allah and the Prophet.
